IENA Purpose
The purpose of the Inland Empire Nurses Association (IENA) shall be to act and speak for the nursing profession and to promote and enhance the accountability and control of nursing practice by the nursing profession.
- Distributing funds to increase public and professional knowledge and understanding of professional nursing and of the sciences and arts pertinent to nursing.
- Providing an educational and charitable organization for individuals and groups dedicated to the support of professional nursing.
- Providing a means for soliciting, receiving, and making financial and other contributions to the profession of nursing.
- Supporting and assisting the profession of nursing in maintaining and improving the quality of its services to the public.
We anticipate that your affiliation with the professional nursing organization will be positive and beneficial. Membership in ANA and WSNA helps to strengthen the nursing voice to advocate for nursing and health care issues at state and federal levels. In addition, our local unit (IENA) works to provide the local membership with information and support to help strengthen our individual voices.
